In more student loan debt news, we now know that debt has surpassed the entire GDP of a continent. Ok, it's Australia, but still. Think about that, collectively student loan borrowers owe more money than the value of an entire continent's goods and services. So, what is the total US federal student loan tab? $1.16 trillion. Sigh.

You can find the full report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York here.

  1. Wow. My boyfriend and I collectively owe nearly $75,000, and we went to a State school. How are we supposed to build our own house and start a family when we can’t even get jobs in the field we studied?
