Fort Defiance Soccer Club (FDSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to instill a passion and love for the game of soccer in all of its members, players, parents as well as fans.

FDSC aims to provide a unique opportunity that previously did not exist for youth on the Navajo Nation. In addition to teaching soccer fundamentals and conveying the love for the game, the organization's main priority is to educate on important health issues and combat the ever-increasing threat of childhood obesity and type II diabetes.

FDSC strives to be on a constant journey teaching the game of soccer while providing a safe and fun environment within which players and coaches may enjoy the game. FDSC firmly believes that family and community support will propel each and every member of its club to new levels of success by achieving personal goals while playing the sport and by reaching an overall healthier and improved lifestyle.

Even though the organization is in its infancy stage, FDSC has already achieved a major milestone in year one by having 100 players register to play soccer. Nine volunteer soccer coaches provide their time and soccer expertise for teams ranging from U6 to U15 age groups.

FDSC closely works with various departments of the Tsehootsooi Medical Center (Fort Defiance Indian Hospital), Office of Diné Youth (formerly Boys and Girls Club of America), COPE Project, Gallup Soccer League, Notah Begay III Foundation, Hummel, and other partners who enthusiastically support our cause.

Project Description

Development & Execution of Online Marketing Campaign

Fort Defiance Soccer Club is looking for a candidate to kick-start our nonprofit's fundraising marketing campaign. Our goal is to fund eight teams in (one in each age group) ranging from U6 to U15. This will include:

-Analyzing and optimizing our Google AdWords Grant account (will work with 1-month old data. Account started on Sep 6).

-Analyzing and optimizing FDSC's Donation Landing Page: SEO background is a requirement.

-Creating social media content for end of calendar year fundraiser.

-Creating social media content for AZ Gives 2017 fundraiser.

-Improving FDSC's AZ Gives site to match newly created content, see above.

-Promoting Notah Begay III Foundation's #NB3FIT Day to promote an active winter break and encourage direct soccer spring season signup for FDSC players.

-Working with parent advisory panel as well as project manager in close feedback loop to complete 1-2 day sprints and releasing social media content.
