Enhancing employee volunteering.
SponsorChange.org envisions ongoing corporate and community collaboration - one that brings the
skills of employees much closer to the community. We are taking steps to strengthen collaboration
with corporations by creating customized solutions that encourage meaningful and lasting employee
initiated community engagement. Our approach aligns with the commitment of corporate social
responsibility, while also building capacity of organizations and communities through skill-based
volunteer projects.
The initiative mobilizes corporate employees to serve in the community to complete short-term,
flexible and skill-based volunteer projects at non-profits. As an incentive, student loan payments will
be awarded to employees who serve in this capacity.
The jobs and products/services of corporations should be recognized as an end in itself, bearing
positive impacts on the community and economy at large. Simultaneously, it is also an
unprecedented opportunity to leverage the numerous skills and talents of corporate employees to
help solve some of our communities most pressing social issues. These two ends should not be put
in competition with one another, but seen as mutually beneficial and symbiotic goals.
Therefore, as we move forward with this initiative we want to pursue corporate
collaborations that foster:
Through this goal we strive to help corporations deliver on their strategic goals of:
1. Strengthening corporate community connections through ongoing employee service
2. Increasing job satisfactory, attitude, and morale
3. Alleviation of employee student loan debt
4. Attracting, cultivating and retaining human talent
